Last June in Prague, we recorded more than 30 speakers across 21 sessions over two days. The 10th edition of our Digital Publishing Summit took place at the magnificent Museum of Decorative Arts, welcoming nearly 120 professionals from around the world, and the recordings are gradually being posted on our YouTube channel.
What happened in Prague
EDRLab’s president Arnaud Robert opened the Summit with a reminder that ten editions in, the questions the community is asking have changed as much as the answers. This year’s sessions moved across national textbook programs, AI content licensing, subscription economics, and the accessibility requirements now taking effect under the European Accessibility Act.
Deborah Nelson from eBOUND Canada, speaking on the round table about supporting publishers through digital transformation, put it directly: “Put all the actors at the same table.” It’s a fitting summary of the two days as a whole. Publishers, libraries, standards bodies, and technology providers from more than fifteen countries sat in the same room to compare notes on problems that don’t respect industry or national borders.
The Casalini Libri team, presenting their migration from Adobe DRM to Readium LCP for academic publishing, quoting one of their readers, offered one of the sharper lines of the Summit on why interoperability matters greatly: “You do not have the right to tell me what sort of spectacles I should use to read it.”

Starting September 8, we’re releasing the recorded sessions in order, two per week, every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 CEST. The schedule runs through mid-October. All videos carry subtitles in seven languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, and Brazilian Portuguese.
